Orchard Cottage is a beautiful two-storey, four-bedroom house situated in the Mendip Hills AONB with a stunning view of Chew Valley lake.

As Architects, not only is this project a beautiful bespoke home but by using a prefabricated structural system it also has great sustainability credentials – something we strive to achieve here at APG on all architecture projects.

Structurally Insulated Panels (SIPs) are an energy efficient, high-performance system, which not only allows for quick on-site assembly but they provide an air-tight building envelope with minimal thermal bridging. By using less timber than a traditional timber frame, SIPs are an economical and sustainable modern method of construction. We can’t wait to see the finished result!
